TikTok API is quite intricate, and
there are some crucial points you should know
regarding how it works:
  • Integration works only for "Business Account" types.
    In other words, TikTok API does not provide data for general (or "personal" type) users.
  • Metrics in the 'Video' report type are available only from the day a source is connected.
    Meaning, with the current state of TikTok API you can't get historical data for videos right away.
  • There is a 24-48 hours delay for some metrics
    . Including both profile and video data.
  • Metrics in the "Profile" and "Audience" report types show only the last 60 days' data prior to connecting your TikTok Source.
    Showing longer date ranges is available only if you can store the data. We are working on adding TikTok organic to our Data Transfer feature.
  • "Profile" metrics represent new numbers acquired within the date range, not the profile totals.
    For example, if you pick the "Likes" metric within the last two weeks, the report will show all the new likes that your videos got within these two weeks, not the total number of likes in the account.
  • "Audience" data is not available for accounts with less than 100 followers.
